Fire Seen on Three Rohingya Houses in Maungdaw

Maungdaw: Three Rohingya houses were seen to be on fire in a village of Maungdaw Township yesterday (3rd October), report local sources.

At around 10 PM, three Rohingya houses were torched down to ashes in Hadirbil (Nyaung Cahuang) village of Maungdaw Township.

According to nearby villagers, houses were empty and the Rohingya residing there earlier shifted to another place for security reason.

The victims were identified and named to be Shamshul Anwar S/O Lul Amin, Shukkur S/O Khalu and Nazir.

The burnt houses were nearby to a Moghs (Rakhine) village and locals suspects Moghs to be behind the fire incident as usual.

Further casualties are not yet reported and the exact cause of the fire is yet unknown.
