“Twelve Rakhine terrorists sneaked in the village of Kilaidaung (middle) and started to torch the house of Abdu Salam son of Abdul Aziz. Fortunately, the Rohingya villagers in charge of the night security of the village saw them in time, shouted and called the villagers out. Consequently, one terrorist was caught by the villagers, whereas 11 fled. The terrorist was handed over to the NaSaKa Camp 14 of the commandment area 7.

According to NaSaKa, they are carrying out investigations against him. And in accordance with the villagers of Kilaidaung, the terrorist said they were not locals of Maung Dawbut came from somewhere else to burn the houses of Rohingyas in Maung Daw” said a Rohingya youth from an adjacent village.

He continued reporting “according to reports coming out of the village of Baggona in Maung Daw Township, U Htaik Soe, the captain of the military squadron encamped at a nearby Rakhine village called Kanthayar, posed threats to the villagers. He threatened to shoot the villagers down if they shout like the villagers of Kilaidaung last night even when Rakhine extremists torch their houses. Therefore, the villagers are living in extreme fear.”
