Maungdaw: Military raids have increased in the village of Bolibazar, Maungdaw, where they arrested 40 innocent Rohingyas and have been torturing women in the village on 4th July, 2017.

In the incidence military along with other authorities started raiding the entire village at 6 AM and have arrested 40 innocent men they found on the road and other public places.

Later at around 10 AM they rounded up the women from the whole village to a place and their fate is still unknown.

In the same village, village administration along with military have imposed a heavy restriction of movement to the villagers, where they have to take separate travel passes for different places.

Moreover even in the season of cultivating paddy, Rohingyas are unable to plant, which is their main staple food. Besides the restriction they also imposed illegal taxes from the Rohingyas like woodcutters and fishermen.

Arrests, raids, illegal taxation and torture have left Rohingyas in dilemma in the villages, where they form every angle they can expect fear and threat in spite of living in Aung San Suu kyi’s so called democratic government.
