UAE programme to aid Rohingya refugees

Kuala Lumpur: The UAE Embassy in Malaysia launched a humanitarian aid programme by the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KBZF) for Rohingya refugees fleeing from Myanmar.

A KBZF spokesman said that the funds are part of phase one of aid which will see food and basic supplies distributed to 4,000 refugee families, adding that the programme falls within the framework of charitable and humanitarian work carried out by KBZF in Malaysia and around the world. The move comes in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
