Two Vehicles Collided, Injuring Dozens of Rohingya

Cox’s Bazaar: Dozens of Rohingya were injured critically in a road accident between a bus and an auto- rickshaw at Gumdum highway in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh today (16th February), reports a local from the accident scene.

The tragic incident took place at around 11:20 am at Gumdum highway when a bus clashed with auto-rickshaw carrying Rohingya passengers.

The heavy clash between the vehicles left the auto-rickshaw totally destructed and left the passengers critically injured.

Upto now no further information of the passengers and their detailed health conditions are known.

Locals says, its a usual scene in the particular highway where accident occurs frequently.

Since 2016, 1.3 million Rohingya are sheltering in the makeshift camps of Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh and every day they are battling with one or the other life risking situations.
