Maungdaw, Arakan State (Rohingya Vision) — Two Rakhine terrorists were arrested while trying to plant bombs amidst Rohingya crowd at a sacrifice animals’ market in Maungdaw Township last Thursday.
The security police arrested them at the animals market in Myoma Kayintan (Shidda Fara) village acting upon the reports by the people that witnessed them (i.e. the terrorists) while planting bombs.
“It was last day of Kurbaani Animals’ (Sacrifice Animals’) market in Shidda Fara on September 24. Two Rakhine (Magh) terrorists planted a bomb in the Rohingya crowd. Some people saw them while trying to plant another bomb.
Therefore, the people lodged reports to the regional security police (Nay Htein Ye) assigned for the security of the crowd and of the region. The police found five more bombs in their bags of the terrorists upon body searches.
The police also found out the place where they (the terrorists) had earlier planted a bomb by investigating them,” said an eyewitness.
Later, the police arrested them and took them to Maungdaw Police station.
The terrorists were suspected to be members of either 969 Buddhist Extremist Group or Arakan Army (AA) trying to carry out attacks on Muslims on their festival day.
