Shocking: Video Emerges of Myanmar Police Torturing Rohingya Civilians
By M.S. Anwar | January 1, 2017
A shocking video has emerged on ‘Facebook and Whatsapp Messaging App’ of the Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) brutally torturing dozens of Rohingya Civilians, while rounding them up during a raid.
The Rohingya Vision TV has independently verified (and re-vertified) the authenticity of the footage from our reliable sources in the Arakan (Rakhine State).
The incident of the tortures and humiliations of the people took place at the village of ‘KoeTanKauk’ locally known as Dounsay Fara’ in Rathedaung Township on November 5, 2016 (during the two-day long siege of the village by a joint force of the Border Guard Police and the military from November 4 to November 6).
The video that appeared to have been circulating on Whatsapp since December 29, 2016, clearly shows that punching, kicking, whacking, humiliating and racially abusing of at least 5 dozens of people who seem to be innocent civilians.
