(Rohingya Vision) – Myanmar’s Security Force tortured and robbed two Rohingya coconut traders in Sittwe Township last Monday, according to local reports.
The victims of the ruthlessness by the security force are reported to be U Hussein Ahmed Mohammed Ishaque, 37, and U Khalu Nori Ahmed, 55, hail from ‘Moti Nya’ village, Sittwe Township.
They encountered with the Security Force (Hlun Htein) under the commandment of battalion 36 on their way to buy coconuts in ‘Ye Chan Pyin’ village around 4:00PM on June 13. The security force arrested and took them on the train where they severely tortured them. Afterwards, they robbed the money, mobile phones and other belongings from the coconut sellers.
“They beat and robbed them without any reason. They threw the people off the train nearby Sittwe University after torturing them.
Although many people initially thought that they were dead, they were fortunately remained alive. They lost sense and fainted because of the tortures,” said a local in Sittwe.
The victims were later admitted to ‘Thakkay Pyin’ clinic.
