Kyauktaw, Arakan– A 35-year-old Rohingya woman, a mother of three children, faced an untimely demise in Kyauktaw township on 16th April 2014. There was/is no facility of medical treatment for the woman likely to be suffering from obstructed retefication and unrinary rentention.

“She’s Shamimah Khatun (daughter of) Shafi Hussain (father) and Zuhra Khatun (mother) from the village of WaKing in Kyauktaw township. She’s a mother of three young children. She had been facing malnutriation, unable to urinate and defecate before she died. Hence, she passed away on 16th April 2014 afternoon” said Rohingya in the village.

“We don’t have facilities for medical treatment here. There is no NGO or INGO here either. We are facing acute crises especially concerning medical treatments” he added.
