Buthidaung: A Rakhine village administrator misuses a Rohingyas rice mill and their rations in Village of Buthidaung Township on 21st November, 2017 reports locals.
A Rohingya hailing from quarter 7 of Naraing Chaung village track known as Sayed Akbar had to abandon his business of rice mill and business rations of other Rohingyas as well. Due continuous threat and fire in the region he had to join the journey of unknown fate towards Bangladesh.
In the incident Rakhine village administrator identified to be Maung Laung have illegally captured the rice business of Sayed and the business Rice, which he processed and sold illegally. The rations belongs to 3 poor Rohingyas, which they handed to Sayed earlier for processing. The 3 victims were identified to be: Rafiq, Shafiq and Khalek hailing from the same area.
According to locals similar incidences are taking place all over the Maungdaw and Buthidaung region, where Rakhines in collaboration of government are relishing over the Rohingyas’ hard earned properties and their business.
