By Rohingya Mirror
Rathedaung, Arakan State (Rohingya Vision) — Some Rakhine extremists brutally beat an innocent Rohingya man to death in Rathedaung Township last Friday, according to the reports.
The victim is identified to be Ahmed Hussein from ‘Chinkali’ hamlet of ‘Kodan Kauk’ village tract. He was killed by the group of Rakhine extremists at the Rakhine hamlet of the same (Kodan Kauk) village.
“Ahmed Hussein went to meet a Rakhine man at the Rakhine hamlet of Kodan Kauk village tract to ask for the money that he (the Rakhine man) owes to him. Meanwhile, a group of Rakhine extremists were likely to have encountered him. They brutally beat him to death.
Since the man didn’t return home at the night, his relatives went to the Rakhine man’s home to look for him. But the Rakhine family responded that he had not visited their home. Therefore, as the Rohingya villagers went out to look for him, his dead body was found by the road outside the village covered under the trashes” an eyewitness said.
However, when the Rohingya villagers reported to the Border Guard Police (BGP) in the village to take actions against the criminals, the police didn’t even bother to investigate about it let alone taking actions” he added.
