Myanmar Military is Using Rape as a War Weapon.

Maungdaw, Arakan state– Four Myanmar military personnel belong to Battalion 352 gang-raped and killed a 28-year-old Rohingya woman in northern Maungdaw. Besides, they tortured and arrested her husband under arbitrary accusation of having connection with *RSO.

“On 3rd June 2014 evening, four Military Personnel of Battalion 352 raided the village of Saalidaung (Saaley Taung) of Boukcho Phweyaa (Bosshu Fara) village tract in northern Maungdaw. They entered Rohingya home in the village. After that, they tied U Zakir Ahmed, the household of the family, tortured and dragged him out of his home.

And then, they gang-raped his wife, Anwara Begum (of Age 28), and killed her afterwards.

When villagers came out to see what was happening, the Military fired several warning shots and plundered many other houses” said a local of the village.

“Military said that they arrested U Zakir Ahmed because he had connections with *RSO and killed his wife because she provided food to *RSO members. It was nothing but blatant accusations to cover up the grave crimes they had committed.

We have been languishing and being kicked around. Please somebody help us to get out of this hell-like situation” he exclaimed.

*RSO= Rohingya Solidarity Organization RSO is a former Rohingya armed group that has been disbanded long ago. Bangladesh government has officially announced that it is no longer existent today. Now, Rakhine extremists and Myanmar Government have started to spread propaganda that RSO (Rohingya Solidarity Organization), is attacking Myanmar Border Guards and trying to invade Myanmar so as to be able to kill even more innocent Rohingyas.
