After severe heart attacked he was rushed to a private medical hospital in Chittagong, where the doctor declared his death. Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun.

He has been suffering from various medical complications.

He left behind his wife, 6 sons, 5 daughters and grandchildren.

Mr. Fayas Ahmed, who was born in 1951, was the son of Late Maulana Husain Ahmed of MI para(Yinmabin Village) in Taung Bazaar, Buthidaung Township. His early education was in the State Middle School, Taung Bazaar and matriculated from State High School Buthidaung. He further studied in Bassein Degree College, Sittway Intermediate College and Maulamyine Degree College. He was graduated from Maulamyine Degree College with B.Sc. (Marine Biology).

Then he joined in state’s schools as a teacher. He served as a Primary Assistance Teacher (PAT) in the State Primary School Zedibyin and State Middle School Taung Bazaar and till he left the country in 1985, he was a Senior Assistance Teacher (SAT) in the State High School, Buthidaung.
He has to leave his job, his family, all his nears and dears, his home and his country in 1985 to escape the arrest and persecution of Military Intelligence Service (MIS) in Burma, crossed the border and took refuge in Bangladesh.

When he arrived at Chittagong some of his relative who were in UAE at that time, send money for him and pursue him to go to UAE with their expenses, But Mr. Fayas Ahmed not only did not use their money even a single coin but also refused to go to UAE and joined to Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) as ordinary member. Later he became member of Central Committee of RSO and membter of Central Executive Member of Arakan Rohingya Islamic Front (ARIF) and later when the ARIF emerged into the Arakan Rohingya National Organization (ARNO) he also became one of the members of Central Executive Committee of ARNO.

He was also the founding and Chief Editor of Kaladan Press Network, the first Rohingya news agency dedicated for Rohingya media since 2001.
He was honest, simple, committed and dedicated. He was so dedicated that, most of us detached ourselves or try to detach from the organization in many times for various reasons but it was only Mr. Fayas Ahmed who never detached or try to detach from the organization till his death.

When someone we love dies, we never get to see them again but we will always feel them, because they live on in our hearts and our memories in our smiles and our tears and even though we can’t touch them, we will never forget how they touched us.

May his soul rest in eternal peace and Allah SWT bless him at highest stage in Jannah.
