Buthidaung: A set of fanatic Moghs (Rakhines) armed with long swords and sharp spear critically injured a Rohingya youth by deceiving in a village of Buthidaung Township on 24th December 2017, reported villagers.
A young Rohingya fisherman named Kabir Ahmed S/O Abdu Rashid was attacked and injured critically by a group of 7 Moghs (Rakhines) whom deceived the innocent fisherman by asking help from him to cross the river where he was fishing.
The victim hailed from Kwaindong village, who went for fishing in the stream of nearby Sindong Village. While fishing he was targeted with a set of armed Moghs (Rakhines) whom immediately attacked him after taking his help and reached the shore on the other side.
Immediately after stepping on the safe bank they attacked Kabir with long swords thrice on his shoulder and with sharp spear on his body twice, making him to bleed heavily in the scene. To save himself from further attack he jumped in the middle of the stream, where his screams of drowning were heard by the nearby fisherman in Sabbaidong village.
“I saw a group of armed Moghs (Rakhine) leaving the bank quickly and saw him (Kabir) drowning in the middle of the stream” explains the rescuer fisherman.
He is critically injured and is in need of immediate medical assistance. Villages in Buthidaung Township have been blockaded since 25th August 2017, where any forms livelihood and medical care are unimaginable.
