By Rohingya Vision TV Correspondents | 31st October, 2017

Rathedaung: Security forces tortured a Rohingya inhumanely and injured him critically from Mujia Village of Rathdaung Township, which is one of the 2 Rohingya villages that still exists after the brutal military operation since 25th August, 2017.

On 29th October a Rohingya Named to be Abdu Rahim S/O Sayedur Rahaman (29) was tortured physically by beating, kicking and punching all over his body. Military tortures left him in very critical health condition and are unable to receive any form of medical assistance from any sources due to the continuous blockade in the region. Especially “Rathedaung Township” which have been completely engulfed by the Extremist Rakhines under the watch of government since the blockade that started long before the military operation.

According to local villager, he was a common men who always tried to help the villagers in any form. “Because of his goodness and morality he was targeted by the security forces along with sycophant’s fake information that instigated military to torture him more brutally” says a local over the situation.

Since the military operation from 25th August, 2017 the entire Rathedaung Township was destructed completely leaving only Muzai and Anaprang villages of Rohingyas. According to our archives collateral damage in Rathedaung township is highest among the all township in Arakan. And sadly in latest wave of state-sponsored operation by the Burmese government Rohingyas lost their historical village of  Zay Di Pyin that captured the existence of “Rohingya” long before the existence of Burma itself.
