Akyab: An elderly Rohingya man named Shor Ali S/O Monir Ahmed, 80, has been mercilessly tortured and injured by Maugh extremists because of entering into a Maugh village losing his way wrongly on his way back home from Buhmay village on 14th August 2016.
After entering into the Maugh village he was brutally attacked by a group of notorious Maugh villagers. They tortured him cruelly for which he lost one of his eyes and got several fractures on his shoulders.
Later an extremist handed him to a police who informed his family to hand over the old man. Following the call when one of his family members arrived to receive him from a concentration camp of Oun Tau, police misinformed her that he himself got injuries by falling down in a gutter of the village’s street on which he was walking.
Moreover instead of filing case against the Maugh extremists, police forcefully took signature from the victim on a fabricated file. In the file it was written that he got injuries by falling down in the gutter of the street for which nobody was responsible and was threatened him not to file any case against the Maughs.
Abusing and torturing is going on the Arkanese Rohingyas in a form of genocidal tool as the Maughs are given immunity by the authorities like police in order to wipe them out of their ancestral land “Arakan”.
