Kofi Annan calls for more transparency on Evidences of Atrocities Amid Rohingya Genocide

More than 21,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh in recent weeks, according IOM and humanitarian officials, following a bloody crackdown by the army in Myanmar. Kofi Annan, a former UN chief appointed by Aung San Suu Kyi as head of a commission on the western state of Arakan (Rakhine), hoped Myanmar would allow journalists to visit the state to “help eliminate some of the rumours we are hearing”.

The Burmese troops have killed hundreds of civilians, arrested more 2,000 innocent villagers, raped at least 300 women and burnt down more than 3,000 homes displacing more than 30,000 people in the pretext of ‘Clearance Operation’ or the Hunt-Down on the alleged militants responsible for October 9 raid on three Border Guard Police (BGP) posts.

In spite of verified evidences since 2012 on the military atrocities and GENOCIDE taking place on Rohingya, he stated “rumours” on the ongoing mass military atrocities and demanded an illogical question of further transparency in his statement. According to several studies conducted by Yale Law School, Queen Marry University, End To Genocide project, etc shows and clears Rohingya in the final stage of GENOCIDE .
