Buthidaung: Military and Rakhine Extremist Burnt a Rohingya’s home who was earlier killed by military along with another neighboring house in Fundufaranag (Pang do prang) village track of Buthidaung on 25th October, 2017 report our correspondent from the crime scene.
The tragic incident took place at 3:30 pm, when a group of armed Rakhine extremist (Moghs) and Military arrived in the Manufara village of Fundufaranag (Pang do prang) village track, Buthidaung and set fire to the house of Maulvi Mujib. The owner of the house was earlier killed by military in early September. The blazing fire burnt another Rohingya house nearby and burnt heavily for more than 3 hours.
A few days earlier, when a group of government officials arrived in the village for investigating, there Maulvi Mujib parents and wife explained them how brutally security forces shot and killed him. “His parents and wife described the killing incidence, so that is the reason behind the blazing of his house” Says an elderly Rohingya from the area in panic.
Moreover evacuated village of Rohingyas became a looting zone for Rakhines (Mogh), Murung and Chakmas along with government officials. They started mass looting on Rohingyas’ properties inclusive of materials like sea vessel, boat and domestic animals. After looting they started illegal business of buying and selling the looted materials, under watch of government officials.
