Joint Forces Jointly Raids & Hunts Rohingya

Maungdaw: Burmese Military and Police jointly raided and started a men-hunt on innocent Rohingyas in different villages of Maungdaw Township on 4th January 2018, reported a villager.

A joint group of Military and Police stationed at Burashiddafara (Oo Kya Kar) village and gathered the village at one place for conducting illegal checks on every single Rohingya by claiming innocent villagers as criminals till late evening under naked sun.

In their abusive checks they claimed of searching 5 Rohingyas whom they labelled as criminals and did not reveal any identification of them. “They are simply claiming any civilians as criminals so that they can arrest and detain anyone without any legal justification” complain a victim.

According to locals raid was planned earlier along with the help of the local sycophants whom were bribed by the authorities for inciting different forms of torment on Rohingyas with baseless information. Later same group moved to other nearby villages and conducted the same illegal activities.
