Failing in Fulfilling Authorities Demands’ Made 2 Rohingya Arrested

Maungdaw: Failing to fulfill the demand of authorities 2 innocent Rohingyas were arrested from different villages of Maungdaw Township, reports victims.

Village admin of Haindafara named to be Mein Su ley have started to target innocent villagers whom are sheltering in nearby villages like Shiddafar, after the village was burnt down to ashes in late August 2017. “Every day he comes here in shifddafara and demands money from the locals. And if any one fails to fulfill his demands he is harassed in these way” says one of the villagers.

A Rohingya while passing via the military camp in Nurullah village on 11th December 2017 was arrested by falsely accusing of him being linked with Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and detained him. He was identified to be Moju Ullah S/O Abdu Mutallib hailing from Haindafara village who failed to pay the demanded money by the village admin.

In another similar incidence on 8th December 2017 a Rohingya named Nur Islam S/O Abdur Rahman was arrested from Hairifara village who as a poor also failed to pay to the unjust village administrator.

Arresting illegal Rohingya on daily basis have created an ambience of panic and starvation have also reached its peak, where Rohingyas are continuously scapegoated for residing in their own ancestral land.
