Destruction & Raid Escalates in Remaining Rohingya Villages

Arakan: Burmese troops raided in a village of Maungdaw and Rakhines (Moghs) looted Rohingya’s houses after destructing in a village of Buthidaung, report suffering locals.

Around 50 – 60 military personnel arrived in the Horitulla hamlet of Italia village tract of Maungdaw at 12:50 PM and patrolled all over the region along with illegal checks on Rohingya houses on 3rd February.

After their heavy movement all over the village they stationed at the Guna hamlet of that village where they snatched and slaughtered a Rohingya’s goat for their dinner at 8 PM.

In another separate incident in Marichabill (Myi Gong Guang Swe) village of Nakkaingdong village track of Buthidaung Township Moghs (Rakhines) from nearby villages started destructing Rohingya’s houses on 4th February.

In the incident big houses worth of 500, 000 – 100, 000 Kyats were destructed completely and each and every single parts were looted by the Rakhines (Moghs). Those homes were evacuated since late 2017 in the ongoing exodus towards Bangladesh.

In the brutal military operation since then remaining Rohingya are also forced out of their ancestral land in villages of Maungdaw, Buthidaung and Rathedaung Township as well.
