By Rohingya Vision TV correspondents | 1st October 2018

Buthidaung: Administration committee in Buthidaung Township organized an emergency meeting with village administrators and planned to build concentration-camps in two village tracts of Buthidaung Township on 29th September 2018, reports a local.

A meeting was held at around 8:00 AM with all village administrators and village administration committee, where committee officers informed them about the construction of two new Internally displace people’s camp (IDPs) in Thin Ga Na and Zee Doum village tracts.

They further explained that in Thin Ga Na village tract they are planning to build 6000 houses and in Zee Doum village tract about 700 houses for the returning Rohingya.

“It is strong proof of Burmese government that they do not want to repatriate Rohingya from Bangladesh in their original place, in fact, they want to shift them to IDP and make them suffer more,” explain a village administrator after attending the meeting.

Rohingya in camps have been protesting to be repatriated with all their deserved rights to their original place. Their demands seem to be once again rejected by Burmese gov’t and are planning to trap them in IDPs to increase their torments.

Since 2016, 1.3 million Rohingya are lingering in makeshift camps of Bangladesh with a hope of returning home soon, but their waiting seems to be in vain if they are forcefully returned to concentration camps like IDPs and trapped there.
