Maungdaw: Burmese soldiers raided to Pyoung Pyi hamlet of Nga Sar Kyue and Long Dong villages at the same time in northern Maungdaw township on 28th June ,2017, explains eye witnesses.
At around 8:00 AM 70 military personals raided the both village at the same village they raided and stationed near the main road of Kyin Choung to Maungdaw in Nga Sar Kyue village.
Later other soldiers took place in front of School of Pyoung Pyi and some soldiers took place in the police custody of Long Dun till 2:00 PM.
During the raid, they snatched food and money from pedestrians and also beaten up some Rohingya whom were travelling from one place to another place on the 3rd day of Eid.
Moreover they restricted pedestrians Rohingya to travel by the main road since the beginning of raid to afternoon. While restricting they snatched and robbed from Rohingyas like food and household goods and inhumanely tortured by beating and abusing.
Military raids, torture, arrest and looting have created an image of fear in the Rohingya villages, where even in festival like Eid Rohingyas are unable to move even within the villages.
