Burmese Police Hanged a Rohingya to Death

Buthidaung: An elderly Rohingya was found dead in hanged position in his own shop in a village in Buthidaung Township today (22nd December 2017), reports villagers.

At around 11 PM yesterday (21st December 2017) a joint group of Police and Rakhines (Moghs) arrived in the village of Duden (Poroung Chaung) village and killed an elderly Rohingya by beating him mercilessly and later hanged him to death, while he was sleeping in his own shop.

The victim was identified to be Ibrahim S/O Lal Mia, 60 who was found in hanged position today at early morning. Initially he was found by his brother while he was going for Morning Prayer.  Later he was rescued by the villagers and they proceeded funeral for him.

Killing Rohingya on daily basis it’s a common crime committed by the Burmese forces in Arakan (Rakhine) and are left unaccountable by a so called democratic government as well.
