Burmese Army Besiege Rohingya Women in Northern Maungdaw

Maungdaw – The Burmese army have arrested and besieged many Rohingya women in northern Maungdaw since this early morning, a reliable source reports.
The military raided the village of ‘SinThaePyin (Haanti Fara)’ around 7:00 AM and selectively arrested and besieged 20 young Rohingya women at a plain outside the village since then.
As the military raided the village to indiscriminately arrest the Rohingya women, they have gone into hiding.
In a separate incident taking place, the military have arrested around 3o Rohingya women and kept them as hostage in the school campus of MaungNama (Mondama) middle hamlet.
Update: During the sieges of the women in both villages, the military beat them before they were freed in the evening.
