Border Guard Police Abuse Rohingyas in Southern Maungdaw

(RVision TV News) – The newly-posted Border Guard Police members have started abusing the locals at a Rohingya village in southern Maungdaw worse than ever before, said a reliable local source.
They threaten and abuse the local Rohingya people at Kyauk Pandu (Shitaaf)’village in southern Maungdaw in order to extort money from them.
Since 18th September, they have arrested numbers of people under arbitrary accusations and extorted money from them. Some of them are: 1) Salimullah (son of) Nurul Islam 30, 2) Rashid (son of) Aamir Hussein 35, 3) Nurul Alam (son of) Basa Meah 30 and 4) Noor Jahan (wife of) Abdul Hakim 50.
“The Border Guard Police have been bullying, threatening and harassing the local people since they have been posted here. All these are to extort ransom money from the villagers,” said an elderly local man.
