At midnight around 2 AM 5 Rohingya houses and 2 shops in Ward 5 were burnt to the ground by Burmese Army and fanatic Rakhine (Moghs). “Although Suu kyi asked the civilians not to quarrel or fight, but it’s her security forces who incites fire and unrest in the region and she failed to control her own government” Says an elderly Rohingya from the region.

Earlier on 6th November, 2017 Border Guard Police (BGP) chased 5 innocent Rohingyas from Burashiddafara of Maungdaw. In fear of the BGPs 4 of them managed to escape and 1 was caught and arrested by them. After arresting he was severely tortured physically by beating, kicking, and punching, leading to deep injuries.

Following the inhumane situation village administrator had to pay 700, 000 Kyats to the BGPs and freed him to safeguard his life. He is critical health condition and need immediate medical assistance.
