BGP Once Again Targets Rohingya’s Religious Structure

Maungdaw: Border Guard Police (BGP) once again demolished another Mosque in Zammonia Village of Maungdaw Township on 5th February 2018, reports villagers.

A team of Border Guard Police (BGP) from the camp no. 6 arrived in the Zammonia village and demolished the main mosque in the lower area of the village.

“They (BGP) demolished the Mosque in front of our naked eyes and we could do nothing to save it” says a local from the village.

Earlier in late 2017 in nearby Haindafara village 17 mosques have been demolished by the Burmese Authorities.

Hurting religious sentiments and demolishing religious structures are rooted genocidal tool since decades, where many uncountable structures have been vanished to wipe out the evidence of Rohingya’s existence in the soil of Arakan (Rakhine).
