(Rohingya Vision) — Bengalis torched 50 houses and 7 shops belonged to the Chakma Buddhists at Rangamati in Bangladesh following a row over a pineapple farm on Tuesday, bdnews24.com reports.
Meanwhile, therefore, Rohingyas in Arakan have been under threats of the attacks by the Majority Rakhine Buddhists.
It has been learnt that some unknown Bengalis stole pineapples from a Chakma owned farm at 14-Mile area of Rangamati yesterday. Therefore, the district administration provided Taka 100,000 as compensations to the affected Chakma families.

Chakma is one of several Buddhist tribes in Bangladesh. Their presence in Arakan is also eminent. The majority Rakhine Buddhists have categorized them as Rakhines by force.
