Buthidaung: Confiscated lands have been used to build authorities’ camp in a village of Buthidaung Township on 6th March 2018, reported villagers.
Around 1000 acres of lands have been confiscated since late 2017 and villagers were forced to leave their lands.
Earlier in February confiscated lands in Alichaung village have been cleared completely using bulldozers and Rohingya’s were used as forced labor in digging the sewage system for building authorities’ camp.

Now they have built several camps on those lands and have made the area reserved by constructing wire fence all over the surrounding. No villagers are allowed to enter the area and are illegally constructing further camps for different departments.
Land Confiscation have been a rooted genocidal tool since the military rule, where thousands of Rohingya’s lands have been confiscated and made owners homeless and jobless.
