BUTHIDAUNG:  Rohingya shop owners in Buthidaung Township are been forced to pay arbitrary tax by a 969 leader, even after paying the governmental taxes on their trades and business.

Shop owners who trades with Akyab and Rangoon have been imposed to pay these taxes by the Mough leader, who is identified to be U Maung Kalu who is an influential Mough and 969’s leader in Buthidaung.

Under that pretext on 31st May at 4.pm, Mough U Maung Kalu arrived in the Buthidaung market. Than he started demanding money from a shop owner named Muhammed Salim, when he refused to pay his selling goods were looted by the Mough leader.

Later when authorities were informed by the shop owner about the brutal incident, no action have been yet taken by the authority.

Moreover after paying governmental taxes like income, municipal, development and other relevant taxes Rohingyas are not having peace in doing trades and business.

Arbitrary extortion by military and BGP is a daily persecution schedule and a tool to continue their GENOCIDE in Arakan, which further escalated by the Mough and 969 terrorist organization’s supporters.
