Buthidaung: In a continuous fight between the Burmese army and Arakan Army (AA) a Rohingya was found killed and his body was abandoned in a village of Buthidaung Township yesterday (28th January 2019), reports a local.
A Rohingya elderly was missing since last three days from Pyant Lay village of southern Buthidaung and his corpse was found in a water body at San Thay Pyin village, with his hand tied to the back.
The victim was identified to be Zafar Husson S/O Abdu Sattar, 60 and locals said he might be killed by Mogh (Rakhine) extremists or Burmese Army, as earlier many Rohingya were killed in a similar manner by them.

“When we recovered his body, his hand was tied with his own shirt and killed in that inhumane way”, says a Rohingya from the team of recovering his body.
Until now no clue of the killer is yet known and it created a fear among the villagers.
On the same day since early morning from 7: 30 am the fight between the Burmese forces and the Arakan Army (AA) have intensified near by Ohn Chaung & Ar Ka Taung villages in Rathedaung Township. Latest update confirms heavy weapons being used from both the sides.
Moreover, the ongoing fight between the Arakan Army (AA) and the Burmese forces have intensified further, which created a situation of panic among the surviving villagers in Maungdaw, Buthidaung, and Rathedaung Township.
